I just remembered something, that's all. I was hardly able to practice leading up to that performance so I didn't even get to play an instrument in the end which means you were for sure better than me.
[ Mao sighs because admitting that sucks almost more than remembering it in the first place but it makes sense that some of them would just be more talented than others. Of course he'd be at the lower end of that scale. ]
I don't remember playing anything any other time and this seemed like a special occasion. It's no big deal, though, I don't think instruments were really what we were there for anyway.
[ Or that's what he's going to tell himself because knowing Ritsu was that gifted there as well as here is just hard, especially considering how long he's worked to get good at what he can play here. ]
